School Tours

At Carlton Farms we pride ourselves on creating a fun and educational tour experience for the school children that visit our farm. We coordinate subject matter that is covered during the tour with the Georgia Performance Standards to increase educational consistency. Our school tours create a great value for the students, teachers and chaperones because the students get the whole farm experience.

Fall Tours: September 15 - November 7

While on a fall tour the students will experience all of the following: Corn Maze, Pumpkin Patch, Farm Animal Barn, Hay Ride, Hay Bale Maze, and Hay Jump . We have a Picnic area available for lunchtime, and we are pleased to say the Corn Maze and Hayride are now handicap accessible. Each student takes home a baby pumpkin, and each class gets a large pumpkin.

Three dates this year are reserved for homeschool groups only, they are:

Tuesday Sept. 29, Wednesday October 14, and Thursday November 5

Costs :

Students - $7.00

Chaperones/Parents - $7.00

Teachers - FREE!!!

Church Groups / Birthday Parties / Etc...

Bring your Church Group, Birthday Party, Company Picnic, or any other group to Carlton Farms for a wonderful outing. Several activities are available including the Corn Maze, Hayride, Animal Barn, Pumpkin Patch, Corn Cannon, Etc...However, one of the most used facilities for private groups is the Catfish Pond and Bonfire area. If your group visits during the day, they can fish using your own tackle and bait. For our night time visitors we will light up the bonfire for you and allow you to roast marshmallows, make smores, or cook hot dogs over the fire.

Birthday Package -

Birthday child recieves a free Carlton Farms T-Shirt.
Bonfire or Fishing (depending on day or night) will be ready when you arrive.
Visit our baby animal barn
Each attendant gets one free shot with the Corn Cannon.
Optional activities include: Corn Maze, Hay Ride, Hay Maze & Hay Jump.

$50 for party of 20

$5 for each additional person

NEW!! Spring School Tours: April & May

Carlton Farms will again be offering Spring Farm Tours. We have designed a spring tour full of new experiences for you and your students. The spring tour is in no way a repeat of the fall tour. Students will get to enjoy each of the following:

Cow Milking Demonstration - The dairybarn has been redesigned to provide a safe place for students to come into the barn and watch the whole milking process. THis demonstration will be very interactive with students and teachers alike to ensure that everyone enjoys learning about the dairy.
Crop Planting Demonstration - Spring is time to get back into the field. We will explain how we plow and plant the land, but it doesn't end there. Students will get to plant a seed of their own that they can take home and watch grow.
Animal Barn - The animals are such a hit that we could not leave them out of the spring tour. Visitors will get an up close encounter with a variety of farm animals including: baby calves, baby chickens, sheep, goats, pigs, and horses.

Expect to see many different aspects of Carlton Farms than you see in the fall tours. The fall tour is so busy that we do not get to share the cow milking experience with our visitors. In the spring visitors will get to see a cow being milked up close. In addition to the dairy experience, our spring visitors will see the chicken house and animal barn. To cap off the day, visitors will get to plant a sunflower seed that they can take home and watch grow into a beautiful plant.
